The project is located in the municipality of Bodenrode-Westhausen in the Eichsfeld district and covers an area of around 7.4 acres. An open-space photovoltaic park with a planned output of approximately 10 megawatt peak (MWp) is being built there. The building permit has been granted and construction began on 23 February 2026. Commissioning is scheduled for summer 2026.
The expected annual yield is around 10.7 million kilowatt hours. This corresponds to a saving of around 3,700 tonnes of CO₂ per year (based on the German electricity mix). The project participated in the EEG tender in December and was awarded a contract. The solar park is being built by TEAG Solar GmbH, an experienced provider of tailor-made photovoltaic solutions. The project was developed by Aracari Solar GmbH, a specialist in integrated system solutions for ground-mounted and agri-photovoltaic power plants and energy storage.
“What makes this project special for us is the transition from paper to the field. We are taking it on at the approved stage and guiding it through the construction process. In doing so, we are relying on experienced regional partners and creating real added value locally,” explains Tobias Reber, Head of Renewable Energy Portfolio Management at Quadoro Investment GmbH.
Bernhard Graeber, Managing Director of Alternative Assets at EB-SIM, adds: “The Bodenrode project is another example of how we are putting our mission of “investments for a better world” into practice. It shows that the energy transition and the reduction of dependence on energy imports in Germany are progressing successfully, while at the same time we are generating stable and predictable fund returns.”
