QEEE Secures Additional Wind Energy Project: 32.8 MW Zeitz Wind Farm

The AIFM Quadoro Investment GmbH, together with its partner EB – Sustainable Investment Management GmbH (EB-SIM), has acquired the Zeitz wind farm, currently under construction in southern Saxony-Anhalt, around 50 kilometres south of Leipzig.

The wind farm comprises six wind turbines manufactured by Nordex with rotor diameters of 133 and 163 metres. The turbines have a total capacity of around 33 MW and are expected to generate approximately 80 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. The project has been awarded a feed-in tariff (EEG) by the Federal Network Agency. Based on expected yields, the wind farm will reduce CO₂ emissions by 14,835 tonnes per year, compared to Germany's electricity mix.

Implementation is proceeding according to plan: foundation work began in February 2026, with component delivery scheduled for August 2026. Construction of the turbines will commence in October 2026. Initial commissioning is planned for November 2026, with full completion scheduled for February 2027.

The construction of the wind farm will be carried out by European Energy A/S, an established European developer of energy projects. The collaboration ensures a structured and efficient implementation.

Michael Denk, Managing Director of Quadoro Investment GmbH, commented on the acquisition: “The Zeitz wind farm is a high-quality project in an excellent location. The key technical specifications and the construction progress, which is on schedule, underscore the quality of the project. With this acquisition, we are consistently expanding the QEEE portfolio in the European energy infrastructure sector.”

Dr Bernhard Graeber, Managing Director of Real Assets at EB-SIM, added: “The Zeitz project is characterised by a strong yield forecast. The wind farm fits perfectly with QEEE’s strategic focus and not only strengthens the fund’s long-term strategy but also makes a significant contribution to promoting Germany’s energy independence. By utilising domestic wind energy, the project supports the transition towards a sustainable, self-sufficient energy supply.”
